GOOD QUESTIONS COME FIRST
Understand before you act.
Straight answers, including where current account terms still need confirmation.
01What is copy trading?
A connection can replicate eligible strategy trades in your own trading account according to its configuration. The process is automatic; the risk remains yours.
02What is Sonic?
Sonic is an XAU/USD strategy with a short-duration / scalping style, available through CopyX at Tag Markets. CopyTradingHQ tracks it and explains its historical data.
03Do I place the trades myself?
Once connected, eligible trades can be copied automatically. You still need to understand your configuration and monitor the account.
04Where is my money held?
Your trading funds remain in your own Tag Markets broker account, subject to its account agreement. They are not deposited with CopyTradingHQ or paid to the strategy operator.
05Can I lose money?
Yes. Copying and leveraged CFD trading can result in loss of capital. Neither a high win rate nor historical profitability removes that risk.
06What is amplification?
Amplification relates trading capacity to deposited capital. Greater exposure increases sensitivity to gains and losses. Capacity is not withdrawable cash.
07What does 24× mean?
In the conditional example, $1,000 of deposited allocation at 24× corresponds to $24,000 of trading capacity. This does not establish your eligibility, actual trade exposure or a guaranteed return multiplier.
08What is drawdown?
Drawdown is the decline from a previous peak in account value. Equity drawdown can include losses on open trades. Our source does not support an actual historical maximum equity drawdown figure.
09What happens if the drawdown threshold is reached?
Depending on current account terms, a threshold may trigger liquidation or closure. The exact threshold and calculation basis are unconfirmed here. Execution can differ from expected levels because of slippage, gaps or liquidity.
10What is the performance fee?
The documented source model uses 30% of qualifying profits. Liquidity-provider commission: $10 per lot of gold traded, per trade. The source workbook does not separately identify this commission. Whether it is already included in its P/L and monthly returns remains unconfirmed; the historical figures are preserved without an additional deduction. Check the current platform terms for the definition, timing and any other charges before activation.
11Can I stop copying?
Check the provider’s current stop/disconnect controls. Stopping new trades may not close positions already open. Understand both actions before connecting.
12Can I withdraw funds?
Profits can be withdrawn at any time, provided they have not been reinvested. The initial investment becomes eligible for withdrawal after 30 days. Withdrawals can be made to supported crypto wallets or EU bank accounts. UK bank withdrawals are not currently supported. Withdrawal eligibility does not mean instant payment. Available funds, verification, fees and processing requirements remain subject to current CopyX/Tag Markets account terms. Trading losses can reduce the amount available to withdraw.
13Can I reinvest?
The historical calculator lets you choose 0–100% of each positive month’s profit to reinvest. Reinvesting profits in the real account restarts the 30-day withdrawal clock.
14Does reinvesting affect lock-up periods?
Reinvesting profits restarts the 30-day withdrawal clock. Consider this before choosing to reinvest. The historical calculator illustrates returns; it does not enforce real-account withdrawal eligibility.
15Do I need trading experience?
You do not need to manually place each copied trade, but you do need to understand risk, exposure, fees and account controls. Automatic copying is not a substitute for understanding the product.
16Why does CopyTradingHQ earn a commission?
Referral arrangements may compensate CopyTradingHQ for registrations or trading activity. This commercial relationship is disclosed beside registration controls and separately from performance reporting.
17Are returns guaranteed?
No. Historical performance is not a guarantee of future results. You can lose capital.
18What does historical performance mean?
It describes a recorded past period and a stated methodology. Our source trades, calibrated follower returns and hypothetical account replays are different things; none predicts your future account outcome.
19Does CopyTradingHQ hold my money?
No. CopyTradingHQ is an education, analytics and referral website. Your trading account and funds remain with the broker, subject to its terms.
20Is CopyTradingHQ the broker?
No. Tag Markets is the broker/account provider in the project-approved Sonic description. Check the exact legal entity and account agreement directly.
21Is CopyTradingHQ Sonic?
No. CopyTradingHQ is the parent education and analytics brand. Sonic is one strategy it tracks and may refer users to.
