Reinvesting profits

Understand account exposure, compounding and the withdrawal-clock reset before changing settings.

What reinvestment changes

Reinvestment keeps some or all realised profit exposed to subsequent trading. A larger amount at risk can produce larger gains or larger losses in dollar terms; the decision does not improve the strategy’s underlying return.

The website calculator can illustrate a chosen retained-profit percentage. Its setting does not change your real CopyX account.

Consider access to your funds

Reinvesting profits restarts the 30-day withdrawal clock. Consider this before choosing to reinvest.

Withdrawal eligibility does not mean instant payment. Available funds, verification, fees and processing requirements remain subject to current CopyX/Tag Markets account terms. Trading losses can reduce the amount available to withdraw.

Check whether the platform applies the reset to the investment or a particular balance component before confirming. Do not rely on this guide to override the terms displayed on your account.

Compare the alternatives

Withdrawing profit reduces the amount exposed to later losses and makes cash available elsewhere. Keeping profit invested can compound both future positive results and exposure to negative results. Neither choice is universally preferable.
