The path of an instruction
In the project-approved Sonic setup, the strategy is Sonic, the connection system is CopyX and the broker/account provider is Tag Markets. CopyTradingHQ explains and analyses the history and prepares the onboarding guidance. These are separate roles.
When connected, eligible instructions from the strategy can be replicated in the user’s broker account. The resulting trade is visible there. The diagram is about instructions and execution; it does not mean the strategy operator receives the user’s deposit.
Configuration comes before copying
Before activation, a user may need to register, verify an email, complete broker verification and fund an eligible account. The precise sequence and available configurations depend on the current platform interface and account agreement.
Review allocation, amplification, fees and stop conditions before confirming the connection. A strategy name alone does not tell you what exposure a particular configuration creates. The 24× example on this site explains capacity, not eligibility.
Copying does not mean identical results
A copying system needs to translate an instruction into an order for a particular account. Account size, settings and available margin can affect order size or whether a trade is eligible. Execution can also differ from the source.
A delay or a different fill price changes the result. In volatile or illiquid conditions, slippage and gaps can make expected prices unavailable. Do not assume that a provider’s trade and a follower’s trade are exact financial duplicates.
Where fees fit
The documented historical model applies a performance fee to positive period results. The net return series already includes that adjustment, so our simulator must not charge it a second time. Turning off the fee selects the gross historical series instead.
For a real account, check how qualifying profits are measured, when fees are taken and which additional charges may apply. The source workbook is a historical calculation record, not a replacement for the live account agreement.
Stopping is a process too
Stopping the connection may stop new copied trades while leaving existing positions open. Closing those positions and requesting a withdrawal can be separate operations with their own conditions. Learn how each works before starting.
After connecting, review the broker’s own account activity. If something differs from what you expected, check the platform’s current support and account information. CopyTradingHQ does not control the account or execute your account instructions.
